Meet Shannon Skurner

Greenwood King has the great pleasure of welcoming Shannon Skurner as our in-house legal counsel. Shannon has twenty-five years of experience in real estate, contracts and title insurance. She worked as an associate attorney in the real estate section of the law firm of Jackson Walker, LLP. and served as underwriting counsel and corporate counsel at two national title insurance underwriters working with title insurance direct operations and agents in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

 

Shannon earned a B.A. in political science from The University of Texas at Austin and obtained her J.D. in 1997 from The University of Houston Law Center. She is seventh generation Texan born in Minerals Wells, Texas but raised in San Antonio, Texas. She is a Life fellow of the Houston Young Lawyers Association and a member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). Shannon has been married to her husband Jim, for 14 years and they have two boys, Vaughn, age 12, and Grant, age 9, and resides in Houston with her family and rescue dogs Max and Mabel.
