Meet Micah Doherty

Micah transitioned into residential real estate sales from a career as a classical musician and teacher. “As a musician, most of my work was done behind the scenes with practice and refinement,” he says. “As a real estate agent at Greenwood King Properties, I show up as prepared as possible, but ready to collaborate and improvise with my clients.” Micah is passionate about providing exceptional service, from the initial consultation to the final closing, and he goes above and beyond to ensure that his clients' expectations are not just met, but exceeded.

 

Micah is dedicated to helping his clients find the perfect property to fit their unique needs and lifestyle. He is also a skilled negotiator, helping his clients secure the best possible deals and ensuring that their interests are always protected. Micah understands that buying or selling a home can be a stressful and emotional journey, and he works tirelessly to ensure that his clients are informed and supported every step of the way. Raised in Midland, Texas, Micah discovered his passion for musical performance at an early age. He performed with top orchestras and wind ensembles throughout high school and college, honing his skills and developing a strong appreciation for the power of music to inspire and connect people.

 

Micah received a bachelor’s degree in music performance from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and a master’s degree in music performance from Northwestern University. After completing his graduate studies, Micah moved to Houston in 2013 to perform bassoon with the Houston Symphony. Today, he regularly performs with the Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet orchestras.

 

Micah commits his time and skills to coaching high school musicians with the Houston Youth Symphony, and also supports the Buffalo Bayou Partnership, the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, and the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. When his schedule permits, Micah enjoys traveling in Europe immersing himself in different cultures. Closer to home, he loves seeking out the best restaurants in Houston.
