Meet Christina J. Kent

Christina Kent, a top-producing Houston NAR member, knows the importance of listening to people and focusing on their concerns. Christina came to real estate from a first career as a veteran television reporter and producer covering the White House, politics, and producing news for NBC’s TODAY show.

 

According to Christina, “Helping clients find the right home is not that different from finding out what is interesting to viewers of TODAY. Real Estate is all about taking care of people, knowing what is important to them, and making sure their interests are paramount. Both news and real estate are competitive fields and require commitment, research, up-to-the-minute market knowledge, hard work, and a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve success.”

 

Originally from Ridgefield, Connecticut, Christina brings a traditional New England rock-hard financial conservatism to her practice of real estate, an approach much appreciated by her clients. “Real estate transactions are an investment and should be handled by a professional who cares about their clients’ money, whether buying or selling,” she says.

 

During her 15 years in real estate, Christina has sold $60,000 condominiums and $3 million estates. She is conversant with neighborhoods throughout the greater Houston area and offers extensive knowledge of the Tanglewood, Memorial, West University, Bellaire, and River Oaks markets.

 

Christina supports a number of charitable and educational venues, including Habitat for Humanity, End Hunger, the San Jacinto Girl Scouts, and M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. She has participated in fundraising for Briargrove Elementary School and is active in the St. Agnes Mothers’ Club. She is an avid snow skier, swimmer, reader, gourmet cook, and international traveler. Christina and her husband, a former NBC News Correspondent & retired head of public affairs for the Houston Symphony, have a daughter who has recently graduated from Ole Miss and is now studying nursing at TWU.
